As we gather together virtually and in spirit in this season, we encourage you to spend time centering on God’s presence through worship, learning from the scriptures, and praying just like we do when we get together in person. Below is a guide to help you walk through a time of worship.
Worship
Worship is more than just singing on a Sunday. Here are some recommendations we have for you this week.
Listen and sing along to a few songs from our curated playlist for this week. (link below)
Pick a few Psalms and read them out loud. For this week we recommend Psalms 8, 9, and 17:7–11.
Spend a few minutes expressing gratitude out loud to God.
Kids
Here are this week’s lessons for the children in our community. Please download these resources and use them with your family.

A Mission that Defies Expectations
Read Luke 9:1-17
Giving
Take a few minutes to practice generosity at Emmaus. You can give online. After giving, pray for generosity and provision at Emmaus in this season, and that God would bless our community.
Prayer
To conclude our worship for today, spend some intentional time in prayer. Begin by silencing your heart and removing distractions. Before beginning to speak, listen for what God might want to say to you. After a few minutes of listening, spend time praying for:
Hope for those affected by COVID-19
Healthcare workers
Those struggling financially during this crisis
Our leaders
Financial provision as we prepare to move to a new location
Any needs you are aware of in our community
If you have (or someone you know has) a need during this time, please reach out to us so we can pray and look at serving you.
